Pay: $15.45 per hour

About the Role:

In a peer support capacity, facilitate recovery and wellness for individuals and be a role model of recovery for other staff and individuals in services. Helps individuals in services to develop self-help skills and build support networks. Foster the use of needed services and helps consumers connect to recovery tools and resources.

What You'll Do:

General Support and Advocacy

  • Work with agency staff to identify community supports and help individuals understand how to utilize these resources in the recovery process.
  • Provide peer support to individuals in services in the overall recovery process.
  • Provide outreach to individuals who miss scheduled session to discuss any engagement barriers that can be identified to assist with engagement in services.

Decision Support Services and Facilitation

  • Promote a physically and emotionally safe, welcoming therapeutic environment.
  • Model coping techniques and self-help strategies
  • Reinforce the potential for recovery
  • Provide decision support through the use of decision aids to assist individuals in meeting their recovery goals.
  • Teach and Assist individuals in completing the Common Ground Health Report
  • Model coping techniques and self-help strategies.
  • Reinforce the potential for recovery to consumers and others.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Openly communicate and coordinate with staff, other CenClear programs, and outside agencies to aid Individuals with their recovery and document contact in Credible.
  • Openly communicate essential program information and provide opportunities for staff input to further growth and change.
  • Promote CenClear's philosophy, procedures, policies and regulations clearly and concisely in a safe and positive manner.
  • Notify a Director/Supervisor of any critical/emergent situations that occur within your designated site/clinic

Professionalism and Accountability

  • Adhere to applicable codes of conduct.
  • Maintain professional demeanor with individuals, family members, other providers, and treatment team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality, right to privacy, and demonstrate respect for all individuals in treatment.
  • Promote and adhere to Sanctuary commitments in interactions with others: Non-violence, Emotional Intelligence, Social Learning, Democracy, Open Communication, Social Responsibility, Growth and Change
    1. Meet with The Decision Support Coordinator on a weekly basis.
    2. Provide periodic reports on outcomes based on key result areas.
    3. Follow-through on all procedures and directives pertinent to the Decision Support Centers, assuming responsibility and accountability for completion.
    4. Complete tasks not listed above but which would be appropriate the position.

    What We're Looking For:

    • High school diploma or equivalency
    • Current or former recipient of mental health services for a serious mental health diagnosis in any setting and a willingness to acknowledge this experience to individuals in services and others, as appropriate.
    • FBI, Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances
