About the Role:
CenClear is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Grants Assistant to support our mission of strengthening families and communities through high-quality services and programs. This role works closely with the Director of Grant Services and agency leadership to help identify funding opportunities, coordinate grant planning activities, and assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and funding applications.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong writer and organized professional who enjoys research, project coordination, and supporting meaningful community initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Work 40 hours per week, year-round
- Participate in discussions with the Director of Grant Services and program staff to identify and prioritize funding needs.
- Conduct research to identify grant opportunities using online databases, grant guides, newsletters, and other resources.
- Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to determine eligibility requirements, deadlines, and alignment with agency programs.
- Assist in coordinating planning meetings related to grant opportunities and projects.
- Help develop and maintain timelines for grant proposal preparation and submission.
- Gather research, program data, and supporting documentation for grant applications.
- Review and edit grant proposals and application materials for clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Assist with writing grant proposals and narrative sections of funding applications as assigned.
- Provide support for other grants-related projects and activities as assigned by the Director of Grant
What We're Looking For:
- Associate degree or higher in Education, Human Services, Administration, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience preparing grant proposals, reports, or other narrative-based documents preferred.
- Experience with budgeting or financial reporting is a plus.
- Strong written communication and editing skills.
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize information clearly.
- Effective collaboration and participation in planning meetings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Must obtain PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporter Certificate before hire.
