About the Role:
CenClear is seeking a dedicated Hardware Technician (HT) to join our Information Technology team. This role is key in supporting our employees with reliable hardware and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support that keeps our operations running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, and other hardware.
- Deploy and image Windows-based machines using Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Tier II hardware and software issues, supporting Tier I staff as needed.
- Provide technical assistance for account setup, connectivity, and device use.
- Guide and coach employees on new technology and software.
- Plan and execute hardware refreshes, rollouts, and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and recommend hardware/software improvements.
- Collaborate on IT planning and strategy, while supporting new technology implementation.
- Travel to branch sites for onsite hardware and software support.
What We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Business Administration; or
- Associate's degree in one of these fields plus at least 1 year of related work experience.
- Flexibility to travel between CenClear's locations as needed.
- Must obtain and maintain Act 33, Act 34, FBI Clearances, and Mandated Reporter Training certification.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, hardware maintenance, and technical support best practices.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Dependable, motivated, and able to work flexible hours (including evenings/weekends).
- Strong communication and coaching skills for supporting colleagues.
- Reliable transportation for travel to multiple sites.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Normal vision and hearing.
- Capable of relocating office equipment and furniture as needed.
