About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting others in a healthcare setting? As a Medical Technician, you'll play a vital role in assisting our psychiatric and MAT prescribers and nursing staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality care to individuals with behavioral health and substance use needs.

In this position, you'll help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, allowing our clinical team to stay focused on supporting individuals and families in our programs. You'll report directly to your assigned nurse or nurse supervisor and will be an essential part of our integrated care team. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality in a behavioral health environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Work 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Occasional travel required for coverage within a one-hour proximity.
  • Measure and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature)
  • Review and reconcile medication lists
  • Complete rating scales and induction documentation for MAT evaluations
  • Support providers during telehealth and in-person appointments
  • Obtain and manage prior authorizations; track and communicate their status
  • Document and follow up on requests for information, releases, and pharmacy submissions
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation
  • Triage and respond to nurse line calls, refill requests, and prescriber inquiries
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, staff, prescribers, and external agencies
  • Consult regularly with nurses/prescribers and escalate critical concerns as needed
  • Attend team meetings, supervision sessions, and training opportunities
  • Assist with front desk coverage and general office duties as assigned
  • Travel to satellite offices in surrounding counties as needed
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow all agency procedures and protocols
  • Take accountability for job responsibilities and outcomes

What We're Looking For:

  • Successful completion of certified nurse assistant (CNA) and/or medical assistant certification
  • Experience in the Mental Health/SUD field preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office equipment
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Capable of gathering and analyzing health-related information
  • Flexible with scheduling and willing to travel as needed
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
