About the Role:

Do you enjoy working with children aged 3 to 5? If so, CenClear is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team! Our Preschool offers a supportive and engaging environment for both students and staff.

As a Classroom Assistant 3rd Person/Bus Aide, this role supports the safe and timely transportation of children to the preschool classroom. Once in the classroom, the assistant helps the teacher implement child-centered activities, prepares the learning environment, and promotes a safe, supportive, and organized space for learning. What You'll Do:

• Work with children aged 3 to 5
• Work approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during the 175-185 school-year days in alignment with the school calendar. Attendance at summer training sessions is also required.
• Meet at the Bigler Preschool Center by 8:00 am to complete the morning bus run prior to the start of class.
• Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Ensure children are properly buckled in their seat belts
• Follow assigned bus route and schedule for pick-up and drop-off
• Collaborate with the bus driver to maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Communicate with parents as needed regarding transportation arrangements
• Completes and submits paperwork within the required timeframes
• Assist the teacher with implementing child activities
• Set up and maintain an organized classroom environment
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students
• Adhere to program regulations and guidelines
• Provide coverage as needed for other duties or positions. Opportunities for coverage within the same or another classroom as Classroom Assistant, Personal Care Aide, etc... The 3^rd Person has more flexibility within their positions to be able to provide coverage as needed.
• Additional hours could be provided for duties such as light cleaning, child transportation and break coverage
• Maintain open communication with your supervisor.
• Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about CenClear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families.
• Attend required meetings and on-the-job training.
• Monitor and respond to work email as part of daily responsibilities.
• Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Individuals must be willing to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential if offered. This training is paid for by CenClear.
• Working phone in your home
• Documented good physical health.
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

• Sit on the floor for over thirty minutes.
• Vision and hearing within normal limits.
• Hand wash and rinse dishes using chemical disinfectants.
• Clean various surfaces using chemical disinfectants.
