About the Role:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with ensuring that all regulation and reporting requirements are met so as not to jeopardize any funding, and to work closely with CenClear's leadership team to ensure proper documentation of all revenue and expenses.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do:

  • Reviews fiscal reports to make sure expenses are reasonable, allowable and allocated correctly.
  • Provides budgetary reports to Program Directors/Coordinators, Board and Policy Council for revenue and expense review and notifies them of any over spending.
  • Invoices outside agencies for program services.
  • Meets regularly with CFO to review detailed financial information for specific programs and answer any questions.
  • Communicates fiscal data with Administration for future planning.
  • Assists Preparing bi-weekly end of employment pay worksheets.
  • Assists Preparing cost reports for funding agencies.
  • Assists Preparing and completing annual audit.
  • Assists in Processing purchase orders.
  • Assists Preparing, reconciling, and filing annual W-2s, ACA, and EEO reports.
  • Works with the Grants Department and Program Directors to complete fiscal portion of applications for grants and other funding opportunities.
  • Reviews current and historic data to establish annual budgets for programs.
  • Analyzes data and completes budget revisions when needed to comply with terms of the grant/award.
  • Tracks grant awards for reconciling, reporting, and projections.
  • Reviews Contracts and Agreements for specific regulations and grant requirements.
  • Tracks fiscal spending for compliance with regulations.
  • Monitors programs receiving grant awards for allowable expenses and revenue received.
  • Reviews fiscal spending for year-end program and audit requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all protocols

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or related degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the accounting/corporate field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
