Day-to-Day Preschool Support Substitute

CenClear, a provider of preschool education, is seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to join our team as a Day-to-Day Preschool Support Substitute. This role offers the opportunity to work with children aged 3 to 5 across various classroom support positions on an as-needed basis.

Locations

CenClear's Preschool Centers located in Centre and Clearfield Counties

Hours

Classes run Monday through Friday, start and end time will vary depending on the center. This position is on an as needed basis.

Compensation

The position is compensated on an hourly basis at $14.21. Reimbursement for time and mileage is provided based on the company's reimbursement policy.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Individuals must have or be willing to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with hire. This training is paid for by CenClear.
  • If an individual does not have a CDA they must be willing to attend the Highly Qualified training while pursuing a CDA within 90 days of hire.
  • Working phone in your home
  • Documented good physical health.
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Work with children aged 3 to 5
  • Assist the teacher with implementing child activities
  • Set up and maintain an organized classroom environment
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students
  • Adhere to program regulations and guidelines
  • Additional hours could be provided for duties such as light cleaning, child transportation and break coverage
  • Maintain open communication with your supervisor.
  • Attend required meetings and on-the-job training.
  • Monitor and respond to work email as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about CenClear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families.
  • Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.

Physical Abilities

  • Reach overhead.
  • Lift and carry objects over fifty (50) pounds.
  • Bend to a child's level and retrieve items from the floor.
  • Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
  • Sit at child size tables.
  • Participate in gross motor activities.
  • Walk and stand for periods of over one hour.
  • Climb stairs.
  • Stoop to move objects.
  • Use sweeper and other cleaning apparatus (push and pull).
  • Sit on the floor for over thirty minutes.
  • Vision and hearing within normal limits.
  • Clean various surfaces using chemical disinfectants.
